"The kids suffer most from these circumstances so I wanted them to be able to settle down and for me to return to my old position. We probably won’t be able to return to Futaba in the near future but I want to build us a house as soon as possible without the kids having to change schools and get their grandparents to live with us. Workers at Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant　

This photo exhibition presents 50 picutres of Miyagi / Fukushima from July 2011 to February 2012, 28 portraits of workers who work at Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Plant and 20 picts of their documentary photos.

Now one year passed since last 3.11, we don't hear the news regarding the earthquake desaster as much before. We have to face the affected area again. There are children playing arouind without face mask, where was restricted place considered as extremely high radiation affected area. Workers who work at Fukushima Dai-ichi have not been allowed to speak out their conditions and atmosphere. I present this exhibition for bring peoples attention back to Tohoku again crossover the wall has been segregated the inside of affected area from othere world.

Kazuma Obara

born in Iwate in 1985, Japan, is a photojournalist. He studied social sciences at Utsunomiya University and continued his studies at Days Japan Photo Journalism School while working in the financial industry. Three days after the earthquake disaster, voices from his hometown called to him; he resigned from his job to begin documenting what was happening on the frontline. His photographs from the Fukushima DaiichiNuclear Power Plant have been published all over Europe.
